ArtLingua is certified to ISO 17100:2015, the international standard for translation service quality. Every project we deliver meets documented requirements for linguist qualifications, review workflows, quality management, and confidentiality.
What ISO 17100:2015 covers
ISO 17100:2015 is the international standard for translation service providers. It sets requirements for the full translation process, from project preparation through to delivery and archiving. It’s the only globally recognized quality standard specifically designed for translation services.
Linguist qualifications
Every translator working on your projects holds a recognized qualification in translation, a subject-matter degree combined with professional experience, or a minimum of ten years of documented professional experience in the relevant field. Qualifications are verified and recorded per project.
Two-person review process
ISO 17100 requires that every translation be reviewed by a second qualified linguist before delivery. The translator and the reviser are different individuals. This is a structural requirement of the standard, not an optional add-on.
Documented project management
Every project follows a documented workflow covering source file analysis, pre-translation preparation, translation, revision, and final verification before delivery. Project records are maintained and available for audit.
Confidentiality requirements
ISO 17100 requires documented confidentiality procedures covering your content, your project data, and any proprietary information shared during the translation process. These procedures are part of the certified quality management system.

Independent verification
ISO certificates can be verified directly with the issuing certification body. If you need to verify ArtLingua’s certification status for procurement, vendor qualification, or compliance purposes, contact us, and we’ll provide the certificate number and certification body reference.
Certification in practice
ISO 17100 certification is not a statement of intent. It’s an audited, documented record of how we work. These are the practical requirements the standard places on every project.
Audited annually
Our certification body conducts an annual surveillance audit of our quality management system, workflows, and project records. Certification is renewed every three years following a full re-audit.
Linguist records per project
The name, qualifications, and role of every linguist who worked on your project are recorded and available for your quality management review or regulatory audit.
Traceable workflow
Every project follows a documented process from source file receipt through to final delivery. Process records are retained and can be provided as part of your compliance documentation package.
